The diffraction pattern of the 8″ LX90AT with the broken corrector plate
The image of the Hadar (Beta Centauri) through the broken 8″ LX90AT. Look, the star image is no longer pinpoint.

Saturn delivered by the 8″ LX90AT with the broken corrector plate. It looks like the Saturn is being engulfed by a black hole.

Have you tried to use a mask in front of your corrector? maibe a Harttman mask with three circular holes could work.
It would reduce the light that your scope recolects but it could serve to see bright objects.
I am going to try to block cracked part by using a customized cardboard. It
will enhance the view for sure but the amount of light gathered will be
reduced by around 15%. A Harttman mask is not a good solution as it will block
quite a lot of incoming photons.

I just observed the moon just now. The image seems to be flawless. There is only a slight degrade of image quality when I use 12.5mm eyepiece with 2x barlow lens, resulting a magnification of 333X. Well, I will call up Meade tomorrow to see how much it cost to fix the telescope.
