640M’s Light Leakage Is Reduced

Before this, the bottom of the LCD over the whole horizontal was bright even at level 3 brightness. I contacted Dell support three days before regarding this issue. After I sent the photo to prove that there was light leakage, they sent a technician to me.

A Dell technician has just replaced my screen. He is Din, a professional enginner. I stood beside him watching his quick dissembling show. I would say it’s really interesting. Don’t worry, I have captured the process!

Dell Inspiron 640M without the monitor. I could take the base up with just 2 fingers. :D I am quite sure that the screen weights almost half of the whole system.

How glossy is the screen! So, you know why am I complaining the truelife LCD screen. This shot was taken using the P mode (semi-auto). The camera was fooled by the LCD as a “mirror” that my image is too dark. Therefore, it took longer exposure.

I took this photo in manual mode with flash. Here you can see how reflective the screen is. :o That’s why I always say that my 640M is also a mirror.
