This is a good question but I’m not sure about the answer. However, I think a country domain brings less traffic from the world. For example, when was the last time you visited a .ec .co .pe .mx .ar .br or .cl domain? When was the last time you visited a .com domain?

If you want national and international readers astronomynotes.com is better. If you only want readers from your country, astronomy.net.my could be better.
